For its core cutting facility in Turkey, ABB ordered 4 new cutting lines to produce transformer cores.
These cutting lines cut 0.18 mm thin electrical steel coils into various shapes. These machines then also stack the laminations into solid cores.
High dimensional accuracy and high output were critical parameters that made ABB choose for Soenen equipment.
Another attractive feature of these Soenen lines is that they are designed to be mobile. All automation is integrated into the machine base, cable are routed inside the machine stucture and
no foundation is required. This makes it very easy for the customer to relocate the available production capacity where needed.
